By accessing and using PaperVault ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

PaperVault by BRIKIEN LABS is an educational platform that provides:

• A repository for college question papers
• Search and browse functionality for students
• Upload and management tools for faculty members
• Administrative controls for authorized personnel

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Types

• Public Users: Can browse and download papers without registration
• Faculty: Require approved accounts to upload and manage papers
• Administrators: Have full system access and management capabilities

3.2 Account Registration

Faculty accounts must be created by administrators. When registering, you agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete information
• Maintain the security of your password
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account

3.3 Account Security

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
• Sessions expire after 30 minutes of inactivity for security
• Only one active session is allowed per account
• Logging in from a new device will terminate previous sessions

4. Acceptable Use Policy

4.1 Permitted Uses

You may use PaperVault for:

• Educational and academic purposes
• Legitimate study and exam preparation
• Faculty uploading of authorized question papers
• Administrative management of the repository

4.2 Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

• Upload copyrighted material without proper authorization
• Share your account credentials with others
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the system
• Upload malicious files, viruses, or harmful code
• Use automated tools to scrape or download content in bulk
• Impersonate other users or provide false information
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
• Use the Service for any commercial purpose without permission
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

5. Content and Intellectual Property

5.1 User-Generated Content

When you upload content to PaperVault, you:

• Retain ownership of your content
• Grant us a license to store, display, and distribute your content
• Represent that you have the right to upload the content
• Agree that your content may be accessed by students and faculty

5.2 Copyright and Permissions

• Faculty members must have proper authorization to upload question papers
• All uploaded content should be original or properly licensed
• We respect intellectual property rights and will remove infringing content
• Report copyright violations to: copyright@brikien.com

5.3 BRIKIEN LABS Intellectual Property

The PaperVault platform, including its design, features, and code, is owned by BRIKIEN LABS. You may not:

• Copy, modify, or distribute our software
• Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
• Use our trademarks or branding without permission

6. File Upload Guidelines

6.1 Accepted File Types

• PDF files (.pdf)
• DOCX files (.docx, .doc)
• Maximum file size: 10MB

6.2 Content Standards

Uploaded papers must:

• Be relevant to the specified subject and semester
• Be properly categorized (MSE-1, MSE-2, ESE, Quiz, Assignment, etc.)
• Not contain inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content
• Be in a readable and professional format

7. Privacy and Data Protection

Your use of PaperVault is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to our collection and use of data as described in the Privacy Policy.

8. Service Availability

8.1 Uptime

We strive to maintain high availability, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service may be unavailable due to:

• Scheduled maintenance
• Technical issues or server problems
• Force majeure events
• Security incidents

8.2 Modifications

We reserve the right to:

• Modify or discontinue features at any time
• Update the Service to improve functionality
• Change these Terms of Service with notice

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. BRIKIEN LABS DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING:

• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement of third-party rights
• Availability or reliability of the Service

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BRIKIEN LABS shall not be liable for:

• Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Loss of data, profits, or business opportunities
• Damages resulting from unauthorized access to your account
• Content uploaded by users
• Service interruptions or errors

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BRIKIEN LABS from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from:

• Your violation of these Terms
• Your use of the Service
• Content you upload or share
• Your violation of any third-party rights

12. Termination

12.1 By You

You may stop using the Service at any time. Faculty members can request account deletion by contacting an administrator.

12.2 By Us

We may suspend or terminate your account if:

• You violate these Terms of Service
• Your account is inactive for an extended period
• We are required to do so by law
• We discontinue the Service

12.3 Effect of Termination

• Your access to the Service will be revoked
• Your uploaded content may be retained for educational purposes
• Personal data will be handled according to our Privacy Policy

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by:

• Posting the updated terms on this page
• Updating the "Last Updated" date
• Sending email notifications for material changes

Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

15. Severability
